00:00:13.06 --> 00:00:15.01 And when I say custom arrowheads 8 00:00:15.01 --> 00:00:18.00 I mean arrowheads that you can apply from the Stroke panel. 9 00:00:18.00 --> 00:00:21.07 So for example, let's say I select this line right here 10 00:00:21.07 --> 00:00:24.05 and I click on the word Stroke up here in the control panel 11 00:00:24.05 --> 00:00:27.06 and I click on this first Arrowheads option. 12 00:00:27.06 --> 00:00:30.08 You can see that by default I have a very long list 13 00:00:30.08 --> 00:00:33.03 of arrowheads, 39 in all. 14 00:00:33.03 --> 00:00:36.03 And I can select any one of them to apply it to, 15 00:00:36.03 --> 00:00:39.04 in this case, the beginning of the path. 16 00:00:39.04 --> 00:00:42.03 Now while 39 arrowheads is a lot, 17 00:00:42.03 --> 00:00:44.08 that doesn't mean that any one of them is necessarily 18 00:00:44.08 --> 00:00:47.02 gonna be the arrowhead that you're looking for. 19 00:00:47.02 --> 00:00:51.07 In which case, you can create custom arrowheads of your own. 20 00:00:51.07 --> 00:00:52.08 And here's how it works. 21 00:00:52.08 --> 00:00:54.01 The first thing you need to do 22 00:00:54.01 --> 00:00:56.04 is locate the arrowheads file. 23 00:00:56.04 --> 00:00:59.06 So here on the PC you follow this path right here, 24 00:00:59.06 --> 00:01:02.03 so you go to the C drive presumably, 25 00:01:02.03 --> 00:01:04.09 assuming that you installed Illustrator on your C drive, 26 00:01:04.09 --> 00:01:07.00 then you go into the Program Files folder, 27 00:01:07.00 --> 00:01:09.07 the Adobe subfolder, and so forth. 28 00:01:09.07 --> 00:01:11.08 Now the two pieces that might vary 29 00:01:11.08 --> 00:01:13.04 are en_US here at the end, 30 00:01:13.04 --> 00:01:14.08 that's English US, 31 00:01:14.08 --> 00:01:16.02 which is specifically gonna be 32 00:01:16.02 --> 00:01:18.04 for the English US version of the program. 33 00:01:18.04 --> 00:01:21.02 If you're using some regionalized version 34 00:01:21.02 --> 00:01:24.00 then this subfolder would presumably be different. 35 00:01:24.00 --> 00:01:25.09 The other big difference is gonna depend 36 00:01:25.09 --> 00:01:27.08 on which specific version of Illustrator 37 00:01:27.08 --> 00:01:29.00 you're working with. 38 00:01:29.00 --> 00:01:32.06 So right now I'm working with Illustrator CC 2017, 39 00:01:32.06 --> 00:01:35.08 but this could easily be a future version of the software 40 00:01:35.08 --> 00:01:40.07 or it could be 2015 or 2015.3 41 00:01:40.07 --> 00:01:43.08 depending on which version, once again, you're using. 42 00:01:43.08 --> 00:01:46.05 And so what you wanna do, if you're working on a PC, 43 00:01:46.05 --> 00:01:49.01 is go ahead and double-click on this line of type right here 44 00:01:49.01 --> 00:01:52.01 and then just select all 00:03:40.09 to a different folder on your hard drive, 90 00:03:40.09 --> 00:03:42.03 just so you've got it backed up. 91 00:03:42.03 --> 00:03:45.02 But remember, you do need it to be in this specific
