payment provider. 00:41.540 --> 00:46.460 Now, at the simplest level, a payment provider provides that page, that page where you'll input your 00:46.460 --> 00:48.170 actual card details. 00:48.170 --> 00:50.630 But it does an awful lot more than that. 00:50.630 --> 00:56.240 For example, it'll go away and actually check your credit card details to make sure that they're accurate 00:56.240 --> 00:58.040 before proceeding with the payment. 00:58.040 --> 01:03.980 It will, in effect, manage the entire payment process on your site so that you don't have to worry 01:03.980 --> 01:04.640 about it. 01:04.640 --> 01:10.250 And once it's taken that payment, it will then transfer it to a bank account of your choosing. 01:10.250 --> 01:16.040 And this is where sometimes people get a little bit confused between a payment provider and a bank account. 01:16.040 --> 01:22.430 So just to try and be 100% clear, the payment provider will actually take the payment on your site, 01:22.430 --> 01:27.230 check everything looks great and if it does, it will then receive that payment. 01:27.230 --> 01:31.760 And then later on, at some point it will transfer it into your actual bank account. and Payments, where you can see that it's suggesting that I set up a payment provider called Shopify 01:44.840 --> 01:48.950 Payments, which is Shopify's own in-house payment system. 01:48.950 --> 01:51.920 And also down here, I've got the option for PayPal. 01:51.920 --> 01:57.350 Now, it's really important to understand that this page is going to look different depending on where 01:57.350
